GM Certified Collision Repair — CBS Auto Body
Precision Repairs. GM Standards.
Engineering across Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac demands exacting repairs. At CBS Auto Body in Los Angeles, every step—structural, mechanical, cosmetic—is completed to GM OEM procedures using manufacturer-approved equipment. Goal: return your GM vehicle to pre-loss condition so it looks, drives, and protects exactly as intended.
What “GM Certified” Means
Factory-Trained Technicians following current GM repair manuals, bulletins, and position statements.
Approved Equipment & Procedures (aluminum isolation, resistance spot welding, rivet-bonding, pulse MIG, OEM adhesives) matched to GM construction.
Genuine GM Parts sourced through authorized channels—no recycled structural components, no knockoffs.
Documentation & Quality Control at every stage so your repair is verifiable, not just “looks fine.”
Structural Accuracy Before Cosmetics
We measure, correct, and verify unibody/frame rails, crush zones, and suspension pick-up points before paint. Computerized measuring and dedicated fixtures ensure geometry is back to spec prior to panel, gap, and refinish work.
Aluminum, UHSS & Composites—Done Right
Modern GM vehicles blend aluminum, ultra-high-strength steel, and composites (including truck beds and closures). We isolate aluminum work areas, use OEM-approved welders/rivet systems, follow strict repair-vs-replace limits, and restore factory seam sealing and corrosion protection to preserve crash performance.
Electronics, ADAS & Calibrations
We perform pre/post scans with GM GDS2/MDI, handle SPS programming as required, and calibrate ADAS systems (camera, radar, park assist, trailering cameras). We verify MagneRide/suspension settings and alignment to factory specs. For Super Cruise and other hands-free systems, we follow GM calibration procedures. For Ultium EVs (e.g., Silverado EV, Blazer EV, HUMMER EV, LYRIQ), we observe high-voltage safety and insulation checks.
Paint That Matches Factory—Not “Close Enough”
From metallics and pearls to tri-coats, we use approved refinish systems, correct primers/sealers for mixed materials, controlled bake cycles, and proper blend zones. Color is verified under multiple light sources for an invisible match.
Models We Repair (All Brands, All Years)
Chevrolet (Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Corvette, Camaro, Blazer/Trailblazer, Bolt/EVs), GMC (Sierra, Yukon), Buick (Enclave/Encore/Envista), Cadillac (Escalade, CT/XT lines, V/Blackwing, LYRIQ), and commercial platforms. If it carries a GM badge, we can restore it.
